Sublimation

Sublimation, also known as sublimation printing, is an advanced process that allows transferring a decoration from a film to a special coating applied to extruded aluminum profiles. It is one of the surface treatments carried out by GEAL S.p.A., ensuring long-lasting durability and flawless aesthetic results.

 

The transfer of the typical sublimation patterns occurs through a thermal process that integrates the decoration into the coating while keeping it protected from external elements. The process begins with careful preparation of the raw material (bars, sheets, accessories, or panels), to which a specially formulated coating is applied to receive the sublimation decoration.
A procedure that GEAL S.p.A. uses to achieve extremely realistic wood-effect finishes, resulting in high-value aesthetic and technical outcomes.
